I am writing to express my strong interest in the Black Student Summer Leadership Program. As a Grade 10 student at Harbord Collegiate, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to develop my leadership skills and contribute to the community.

My participation in the Visions of Science program has been a transformative experience. This initiative, which aims to advance STEM equity with a focus on Black youth, has fueled my passion for science and demonstrated the impact that dedicated programs can have on underrepresented communities. I joined Visions of Science when I was 8 years old and have since gained valuable leadership skills, time management skills, and a friendly and outgoing approach to teamwork and collaboration. Currently, I volunteer during the school year and summer, helping to organize events and mentor younger students. These experiences have honed my abilities and deepened my commitment to fostering inclusivity and equity in STEM fields.

In addition to my involvement with Visions of Science, I am also a photographer at my school, which has further developed my creativity and attention to detail. I am particularly interested in STEM, with a strong focus on dentistry, and I am eager to explore this field further through the leadership program.

I am eager to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and dedication to the Black Student Summer Leadership Program.
