Recent graduate from The health care assistant program at UFV,with the passion to help those who need support. I am seeking a entry level position where I can apply my analytical thinking and compassion for others in long term care setting.
During 132 practicum I got to experience working with residents with complex needs and also got the opportunity to apply learned concepts to a realistic work environment.
-provided total care with a gentle patient approach.
-Assisted residents who needed support with eating
-spent time 1 on 1 with residents and provided a sense of connection.
During 131 day program practicum My duties included:
- Assisting setting up activities
-transporting residents from handy dart to the inside of building
-partake in activities,being attentive communicative to the residents
-assist residents to the bathroom.
During 130 I got the experience to provide full hands on care for the first time, and also managing 4 patents in a timely manner.
-Self motivated and aware of what's expected of me

-spent time with the residents getting the chance to build connections.
-supported staff with their daily tasks that I was qualified to do, to help lessen the workload.

-assisted residents to and from wherever they needed to be-
-assisting with meal times (serving residents their tea and meals,collecting dishes and crumb catchers)
-Took innovative to stock and tidy up the unit ( dirty dishes trash bins, sanitizing bathtubs.)
-Transported residents to and from connected hospital for labs, X-rays.
