• Horse handling skills: Teasing mares and observing body language to determine heat

Dairy Calving Enterprise / Member (2022)

• on call for 24 hrs 1x/week to process and care for pregnant cows and their newborn calves.
• Detecting active parturition through body language
• Administering medication and vaccines to calves and heifers
• Collecting blood and analyzing colostrum quality
• Low-stress handling of cows

Bull Fertility Research/ Member (Fall 2023)

• Part of a team helping Dr. McFarlane collect behavioral data on bull fertility and its association to behavior.
• Reviewed hours worth of bull behavior to quantifying stress levels
• Scoring behavior and body condition

WATCH Program Research / Member (2017)

• Year long project in partnership with the Monterey Bay aquarium.
• Researched Bob Cat activity and the correlation to its prey's movement at Elk Horn Slough
• Used tools such as motion activated cameras and scat identification
• Findings were presented to a panel of scientist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute
