The medical store is a medical intermediary that warehouses procures, sells, and distributes medical drugs and consumables to 32 state-owned public hospitals and 250 primary health centers within Lagos State.

Job Description

• Promptly bring into account, under proper heads and subheads of the estimate, all money for the Lagos State Medical Store.
• Promptly charge all disbursements of recurrent and capital expenditures, or payments, into accounts under proper heads and subheads.
• Recording, analyzing, preparing, and reviewing all financial information relevant to store management and accounting.
• Check all financial instruments in care by verifying the amount with the balance in the cash book and registering it.
• Ensure that the authorized maximum cash balances that are held are not exceeded.
• Preparing the final accounts for the store in line with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and international store management practices.
• Preparing a special financial statement for the State Governor's Office for sustainable development programs established n the Lagos State Medical Store.
• Employ working capital management skills to ensure liquidity and sustainability of the development programs, funds, and grants operating in Lagos State Medical Store.
• Ensure that all payment vouchers, store receipts, and store deliveries are properly captured on Oracle, Sage, and M-supply, respectively, in line with the National Chart of Accounts.
