Cyrus Sarmiento

The Huron Park Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a volunteer group providing youth with opportunities to earn volunteer hours towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) while getting involved in the community. Members organize events, contribute to the YAC website, volunteer at events, or work on projects. Committee meets weekly during which events ideas are discussed and events are planned. Proving to show development in the following skills:

• Self-motivation, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
• Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
• working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.

• Assist with special events and programs.
• Maintain clean, neat, and operational facilities to serve program needs.
• Support engaging, fun, and smooth-running events by helping with organization and planning.
• Use strong interpersonal communication skills to convey information to others.
