- Set up and operate 3 axis vertical CNC milling Machines to perform machining to produce various die components.
- Read and interpret Engineering drawing to understand the sequence of operations to be performed, such as milling, drilling, tapping, chamfering, finishing, etc., set-up work piece according to CAD(computer-aided design) drawing, and run respective FANUC G-code program.
- Compute dimensions and tolerances, measure and layout work piece, set cutting tool, compute cutting tool offset, account offset for tool wear, edit G-code program if necessary, and ensure appropriate feed and speed during the machining process
- Work within a tolerance range of ± 0.002" inches and repair deviations from specifications and tolerances to ensure an appropriate fit between mating parts and to avoid assembling problems for tool & die makers.
- Confirm the quality of finished parts by measuring dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as a micrometer, Vernier caliper, gauge blocks, and gauge pins.
- Carry out routine inspections on CNC machines, record inspection results, perform minor repairs and maintenance activities, clean up and organize the workplace, and report issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Using Overhead crane to load and unload parts.
