With 16 years of experience, I have been employed in a variety of settings, including Northern communities. Surgical Oncology, acute care, community based care, and long term care. I have extensive experience in wounds, vac dressings, surgical wounds, diabetic wounds and diabetes. Drains i.e. percutaneous drain, JP's, indwelling catheters and ostomies. IV lines both peripheral and central lines. Iv initiation, and phlebotomy. Many years' experience as a charge nurse in education and training. 6 years operating a foot care business and providing in home services and diabetic care. Community Nursing with rehabilitation, and collaborating with Community Health Nurses. 3 years Nursing triage experience and tele health, including mental health and addictions, poisonings, paediatrics, and assessments for Nurse Practitioners. Also office experience including Documents, word, meditech health system, files, and computer skills. Certifications in ACLS, PALS, BCLS, WHIMIS, TDG, Immunization competency for northern communities.
