Laid out flooring systems on site before installation begins.

  • During this time, I was working on a parking garage, which was all new to me, but it was a great experience with a really big team working together. A lot of concrete was poured, not very much framing; a large crane was used to set tables for the concrete to be poured on. Forklifts and safety harnesses with tie-offs were the equipment used on the job, with safety being heavily enforced.

During this time, I had the opportunity to work with multiple teams and crews. Building concrete forms, pouring concrete, metal stud framing, and repairing walkways that were built out of wood studs. This was a great opportunity to work with the millwrights and see a different side of our trade. As my team did our work, we had the chance to see the work done by the millwrights as well.

During this time I was bridge building with a team working on repairing and adding on to the I-5 crossover. Cleaning old concrete for an overlay of new concrete. Safety was a huge practice each and every day. we also learned safety protocols to minimize risks during construction activities.   • During this time, I was part of a team that worked on multiple buildings, such as converting an old hotel into apartments. Remodeling schools, remodeling a movie theater, as well as add-ons to existing hotels.
