  • With Aecon, I am responsible for stringing distribution cable and terminals, installing downguys, grounding and bonding strand
  • Using a lasher throughout neighborhoods using a bucket truck or climbing the pole using spurs , whether it being aerial or doing underground cable pulls from dip poles to ground level boxes
  • Trimming brush and trees to access lines, reading aerial plans
  • I have also been a part of a jetting crew, which included reading underground plans
  • Enhanced safety measures, conducting regular inspections and enforcing proper procedures.

  • With Link On Communications, I am responsible for putting the conduit for the fiber optic cable in the ground using a stitching machine, other tasks are using a mini excavator to dig up pits to allow myself to splice that conduit into the mainline.
  • Locating the pipe using a cable locator and tested with a tone generator.
  • Trained new employees to learn new systems, apply best practices and comply with protocols and regulations.

  • With T&T Line, I was working on a storm crew travelling around Ontario and several US states to repair or replace power lines that have been damaged due to hurricanes, windstorms and ice storms
  • I was required to check patrol lines for any broken hardware or blown fuses, also assisted in the bucket replacing transformers and other equipment on the pole
  • Other duties included trimming trees and replacing fuses, preparing switches and hardware on the ground
  • Worked under guidance of experienced professionals to learn trade best practices and techniques.
