Hired on after successfully completing my placement at the station for school (college)

Volunteer for events such as the Fergus Lions Club Fergus Home and Leisure Show, Open Houses etc.

Assigned cut-ins and/or remotes for different events around the community with driving the "Community Cruiser" to said location. Set-up and take-down if not On-Air. Effectively communicating and interacting with the public while On-Air talent is LIVE to talk about station and any other questions they may have. Also assisting in taking photos to post on TheGrand's social media accounts.

Also assisting in doing News Anchor Fill-In's for either the Morning and/or Afternoon News Anchors. Responsible to creating a newscast focused on local news/sports, but also covering provincial, national and international news and sports. Also responsible for any developing stories (mostly local) to have a written article written up to be published on TheGrand's official website, regardless if it was written by myself or a press release.

Responsible for the following:
Timing the live horse races for the public using OES and stopwatch (backup)
Using On-Trak to take photos for each live race for the public and AGCO Judges
Working with the Judges to create the finish position for each horse in each race
Creating placing photos to display for the public on-air (Win/Place/Show/Deadheats etc)
Working with the Charter to make sure lengths are charted for each horse in race using On-Trak
Working with TV Director to make sure photos are sufficient and other tasks
Working with Upper Pan Camera operator for their tasks

Responsible for the following:
Serving residents with taking orders for Lunch and Dinner in a timely manner
Setup/Cleaning Tables for next seating
Washing dishes from meals
Helping out co-workers with their tasks from the other side
Helping out the cooks with their tasks
Create next-day dessert for Lunch
Help out Student Servers with tasks at Dinner
Serving behind the steam table at Dinner
Taking recommendations/opinions from Residents/Staff/Administration
Working with the public to resolve issues if Nurses/Admins are not available
Completing monthly tests
