Colton Sturko
Summary
From a young age, I have been playing on teams and involved in the community. I played soccer and hockey. Through hockey, I have participated in many bottle drives and fundraisers, as well as helped with the Edmonton Food Bank with my teams.
At school, I have always participated in track and field, and in Grade 8, I went to provincials for the 400 meter relay, the 100 meter sprint and the javelin. I also went to provincials for doubles badminton in Grade 8, and prior to that we won silver at the City Finals.
This past year, I was a starter for the high school basketball team at Vimy. I am planning on being part of the track team, as well.
Being part of a team is important to me. I understand the value of hard work and working together to achieve the goal, be it coming back from a deficit or maintaining the lead so we can win as a team.
