• Directed team of 7 Estimators in support of Syncrude Project Managers to development 600+ estimates ranging from < 1M to 2B TEC
• Successfully led the culture change initiative for estimating team to better support Project Development & Execution (PD&E) goals and objectives; Coached team to work with clients and re-strategize estimate mentality to be ‘What should a project cost' rather than ‘What will a project cost'
• Led 2020 Syncrude Projects Benchmarking Study which resulted in changing Allowance and Contingency practices for early stage estimate resulting in 9% TEC Capital Plan reduction for Syncrude Mining projects.
• Re-developed and implemented estimating processes and procedures to better align with Industry Capital Standards and Syncrude General Contractor Agreements
• Facilitated Project reviews for all stages of estimate development to assure collaboration and alignment of Project Team & external stakeholder
• Co-Chaired COAA 2019 Benchmarking study and interfaced with IPA for 3rd party estimate reviews and Benchmarking
• On behalf of PD&E VP in advance of Syncrude to Suncor department transition led 2020 Workforce Organizational Assessment and 2021 Project Business Services transition package

• Managed multiple SCL Capital projects with the Project Development and Execution group – notably Ammonia Destruction (90M), SUSP (850M) and Facilities small projects portfolio (200M).
• Collaborated with Project Managers, Engineering Team and Construction Managers to prepare, review and align monthly stewardship reports and capital budget forecasts
• Accountable for consistency, completeness and accuracy of project schedules, financial activity and tracking of management of changes trends
• Verified contractors progress reports through field inspections and auditing of takeoff and installed quantities to gain progress percentage of scoped project work. When early identification of issues arose, I was leaned upon to provide SME analysis and problem solving recommendations to Project team.
• Contributed and supported 13-1 Fire insurance claim basis resulting in claim win for Syncrude.
• Worked with Syncrude SAP implementation team as SME for Project Business Services to quality and system check Project Controls systems interfacing with SAP

• Assisted the project team with developing project bid estimates, management of change documentation, and accounting reconciliations with projects in execution for Suncor Base plant and Firebag projects.
• Utilized company cost management systems to estimate, forecast, budget and track costs for portfolio of projects
• Developed stand alone cost tracking templates using Microsoft Excel for rapid development-execution projects
