- Backed in potato trucks to unloading conveyors where they were then placed in proper bins for production
- Trained new technicians on standard procedures and troubleshooting to keep production moving
- Observed truck unloading to ensure conveyor belts weren’t overloaded to cause spills
- Organized bills of lading and incoming trucks to make sure there was proper bin space for raw product
- Used computer programs to place product in proper bins and keep an eye on the speed of production lines to speed up or slow down the metering belts coming out of storage bins
- Keep area clean of possible slip and trip objects like potatoes, dirt and water
- Use of chemicals and proper PPE for cleaning bins, conveyors, walls and floors
- Developed a rapport with truckers to get information to see if trucks have been cut or added to the manifest
- Taught fellow employees how to use standard and rotator forklifts to retrieve and dump waste into garbage trailers
- Had to endure 12-hours of both extremes of hot, cold and dusty conditions while unloading and shovelling the floors

- Took 5-samples from trucks at 5-minute intervals of about 25-pounds in a sample tote to be processed in the lab for a grade of the grower’s potatoes.
- Had to keep all growers samples separate from other growers and keep an eye out for changes in fields or storage sheds which could potentially change the potato’s chemical makeup. So then another bin had to be started for consistency
- If potatoes contained rot, insect, rodent or machine damage, tests would be conducted to see if they were admissible under the processing plant’s allowances
- Helped reorganize the way Ag World processed field samples from growers to the lab. It cut the grade time in half by reorganizing samples with a forklift
- Was promoted t Lead Hand before leaving for Simplot
- Worked 12-hours in extreme hot, cold and dusty conditions
