I began my printing career when I was 19 years old , that was nearly 24 years ago . All happening at 278 19 th St. , back then it was North Hill News . Then it got bought by Central Web Calgary , then bought by Black Press , and most recently bought by Carpenter Media . Carpenter Media made some cost cutting decisions and I was laid off. My heart and soul is in printing , my expertise was always daily newspapers (Head pressman on The Calgary Sun , Globe and Mail , National Post , Metro, Red Deer Advocate ). I loved the challenge of big jobs with a deadline . But I wasn't limited to just newspapers , I also printed many different types of commercial jobs and maintained the press during downtime .
