Aircraft Mechanic

  • Assigning work, equipment, resources and duty schedules to Air reserve technicians and traditional reserves on a day-to-day basis
  • Provide technical expertise to other aircraft mechanics, dock controllers/floor supervisors in training on difficult tasks and PE flow process
  • While deployed troubleshot and fix mechanical issues on RC-135
  • Review aircraft documentation including special inspections and time change items
  • Cross reference work procedures with Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO's.) Collecting, storing, and retrieving base level, depot level and contractor type maintenance
  • Using GO-81 to automate aircraft history and aircraft scheduling, receive and edit input data and to store aircraft data base information for use in controlling and monitoring the on-going activity of maintenance and providing decision-making information tailored to specific needs
  • Maintaining the AFTO 781 series forms binder and the TO library with all changes, revisions and supplements
  • Meet deadlines established by leadership and determine proper methods and procedures for all mechanical repairs
  • Enforce OSHA and organization guidelines
  • Perform pre-flight, post flight, and periodic aircraft inspections on KC-135R/T
  • Use aircraft technical orders to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain aircraft structures, systems, components and related equipment
