Fabricated and welded custom exhaust systems. From small generators all the way up to Vac trucks and motorhomes. Fabricated custom manifolds for race applications, some systems having complexed bends and custom flanges. Carried out diesel deletes and emission system diag/repairs. Along side welding I also carried out several custom jobs including engine swaps, custom wiring harness's and other light automotive repairs.

Owned and operated a Heavy Duty Contracting company. Running a service truck I Provided my services to a variety of customers. Pipeline and Oilfield construction company's were my main customers. I specialized in John Deere construction and agriculture. Also Weldco pickers, Ferarri Pickers, Manatex Pickers.

On the offload side my duties were as follows.

- Service and Maintain equipment on the pipeline right of way. Maintaining safe procedures to prevent spills and safe work practice.

- Complete Diag and Repairs on Hydraulic, Electrical and Power systems.

For Truck Mounted pickers

- Working alongside engineers, completed 1yr and 10yr inspections on booms and supporting structures

- Completed Hydraulic, Electrical systems Service and Repairs.

During this time I carried out inspections and repairs on Combines and Crop sprayers. Servicing Flushing and repairing spray systems. Carried out various repairs including welding repairs on buckets covers ect.

Worked in the Field department operating a service truck. Worked included both local work and camp positions. I supplied Diagnostic and Repairs to various customers of Brandt. From remote jobs in northern BC and SASK to PDI's at the shop.

Completed 1yr 10yr inspections and repairs on various truck mounted pickers. From 5T to 75T pickers. Removing booms and fully disassembling inspecting reassembling, Hydraulic repairs, Electrical repairs. Operated a service truck for NWC, I had many emergency call outs involving booms stuck in the air (no hyd) or bent and overloaded booms. All the jobs I was sent out to I completed with 0 safety issues and left with satisfied customers.

Started my Heavy Duty Mechanic career with Brandt Tractor. Started as a 1st year apprenctice and left as a Red Seal journeyman Technician.
