Dynamic Aerospace Machinist/CNC Programmer with diplomas in Machine Tool Technology and Tool and Die making from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. I have over a decade of experience in manufacturing advanced rocket engine and spacecraft components, making and maintaining dies for various 100 to 1600 ton press operations, and creating thousands of quality parts by programming and operating 3,4,&5 axis CNC machines using MasterCam/NX/SolidWorks/Fusion360 and various types of CNC control consoles along with manual lathes/mills
At Boeing, I work in the Space and Defense sector of the company, manufacturing complex flight/prototype aerospace components and fixtures, utilizing Mastercam and NX CAM software. In this position I perform full process prototype CNC machining of spaceflight components and experimental hardware. Including: Programming, set-up, operation, deburring, cleaning, and initial inspection. I also have gained experience programming and operating EDM wire/sinker machines.
At Virgin Orbit, I worked as a CNC Machinist/Programmer helping to program and machine very tight tolerance rocket parts using next gen machining centers and live tooling lathes. While with this company I manufactured many high quality parts for our LauncherOne rocket which is used to launch small satellites to orbit from the wing of a 747. With this company I learned many things to facilitate my career in advanced manufacturing, I learned more in-depth operation of celos control using DMG Mori machines, and also gained much more experience with large 3-5 axis mills. I gained much more experience programming and designing fixturing using MasterCAM and NX to machine parts within .0004-.001” tolerance.
At TransAstra, I have created many different high quality prototype parts by programming and operating various CNC machines using CAM software and conventional methods of machining. I have aided in helping this company grow from a small aerospace company in a small building with a small machine shop that outsourced all parts, to having now a full machine shop and making all parts in-house for the companies asteroid mining spacecraft variations and high-power Newtonian tracking telescopes. I have enjoyed working with this company and have greatly increased my knowledge of efficient CNC programming using multiple types of CAD/CAM software.
At SpaceX, I worked as a Booster Engineering Technician(Machinist) creating precise parts used for accelerating development of advanced rocket systems using 3-5 axis CNC machines and manual machines using blueprints provided by the engineers within the company. With this team I fabricated many different components of the Starship spacecraft along with the booster that is used to get the ship to space. I have also helped aid the team completely relocate our entire machine shop into a new building and was given the responsibility of organizing the layout of our tool room to increase productivity immensely from our previous location.
At Henderson Stamping, I worked as a Tool and Die maker. Making and maintaining large dies for airbag explosive components using 3-axis cnc machines and manual machines to a high standard while maintaining the tight tolerances required of die making. While employed with this company I worked on many different types of large dies for 100-1600 ton presses and was able to maintain tolerances at or below those required by the customer on all large production runs.
