  • I was given the opportunity to take the Sales Lead position that the company had available that lead me to learning more about merchandising. Since I had a bigger responsibility on my hands I made sure to maximize my sales for my department, have a strong and positive team in order to keep the department in good shape. Becoming a leader was one of the challenges I had faced in my workspace. Being able to teach them what I know and hearing their suggestions was one of the reasons why my department succeeded. I managed to maintain a strong team by being patient and teaching them how to correctly execute a good customer service. To maximize my sales for my department, I had learned how to properly set up my display tables or striking points. My managers had full trust on me on this position and most of my skills were self taught. A skill I am really proud about is being able to analyze which product would catch a person’s eye and cause them to approach the product and potentially shop for something. Doing this had helped me maximize my sales, resulting in 30% increase from last year’s sales during our performance reviews during march. It is currently one of my biggest achievement and I had exceeded my manager’s expectations.

  • I worked at Kohl’s as an all around associate. I had learned a handful of skill sets an Associate/Sales Lead could obtain during my first year of working at Kohl’s which primarily consisted of merchandising, Inventory control, Customer service, merchandise analysis, department control and leadership. I prioritized learning how to engage correctly with customers, making sure that they step out of the store with a positive experience in store. Expressing my positive energy to customers had helped me meet people who turned into regular customers in store. I am a very dependable employee that most of my managers depend on, trust and regularly asked for feedbacks. What I did best during this time frame was being able to fulfill customer needs, being able to build a relationship with my customers and having them become a regular and having this company as their go to store for their needs.
