I focus on neuroscience and biomechanics to optimize physical and cognitive rehabilitation through environmental enrichment, which stimulates the brain for improved neuroplasticity. My expertise spans motor control, neurorecovery, and neurorehabilitation, with a particular emphasis on sensorimotor control and disorders.

  • Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program - ELAP, 2012: scholarships offer students from post-secondary institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean the chance to engage in short-term exchange opportunities for study or research at Canadian post-secondary institutions. During my PhD, I had the opportunity to conduct part of my research at the University of Ottawa for four months. As a result, I published a paper and was subsequently invited to pursue a Postdoctoral position in the same lab.
