Claire Leonhardt

I helped with seeding, spraying, and harvesting on our 2,000-acre family grain farm, where we mostly grow barley, durum, and canola. Most of the time, I helped service, clean, and transport machinery to keep everything running smoothly and ready for the field. I also helped organize the yard and work areas to keep things safe and efficient while learning from my dad what it takes to run a successful farm.

Through waitressing, I have developed strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills, working in a fast-paced environment, and gained experience in teamwork, time management, and handling transactions accurately and effectively.

Developed strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Gained experience in computer and graphic design, working with vinyl, and preparing surfaces for tinting and paint protection, and learned to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Provided attentive and caring supervision for children of different ages. Planned fun, age-appropriate activities, prepared healthy snacks and meals, and maintained a clean and safe environment. I communicated regularly with parents and built positive relationships to ensure that the children were happy and that the parents trusted me.

Gained leadership, communication, and teamwork skills through involvement in the student council and school sports. I assisted with fundraising, event coordination, and community engagement through social media. I learned to adapt quickly, follow directions, and take initiative in organizing and supporting group activities.
