Manages operations for all channels of AGO Art Rental and Sales Gallery including onsite gallery, web store, and offsite events to achieve established sales, and operation objectives. Plans and executes critical artwork installations for onsite gallery locations. Provides excellent service and maintains relationships with collectors, new prospects, consigning commercial galleries and independent artists.
Responsible for consignment art procurement through sourcing and relationship with commercial galleries, independent artists, and curators. Keeps informed of global and local art market trends to provide clients with excellent contemporary art knowledge and service.
Delivers excellent service inclusive of high-net-worth clients to achieve monthly revenue targets for all channels. Hosts collectors for in-person viewing of artworks at the AGO, visits corporate spaces for consultation and photography. Creates custom digital portfolios which include renderings and curation of client space. Hosts artist talks, group tours of onsite exhibition and art storage, artist studios, galleries and art fairs based on potential business assessment.
Creates critical content for weekly emails/newsletters, online advertisements, digital artwork catalogues, printed brochures as well as posts, images and stories as required for social media accounts. Responds to media inquiries as approved by AGO Public Relations including magazine interview participation. Submits design requests for art specific labeling, catalogue design, printed marketing materials, web team created banners and photography requests.
Manages logistics for all sales channels on transportation of art; locally, out of province or international.

Claire is a first-generation Canadian of Northern Irish parents. She holds an MA in Gallery Studies and Critical Curating from the University of Essex, UK and previous to accepting her current role at the Art Gallery of Ontario in 2016, has worked at Kate MacGarry, Freize London, and Sprüth Magers, London/Berlin. Claire’s work at the AGO allows her to focus and give platform to emerging and mid-career contemporary artists, making their work globally accessible. In addition to managing the department, Claire is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with art dealer partners, artists and curators for consignment art procurement. She is also responsible for curating in-department exhibitions. Her passion is to create space for emerging contemporary Canadian artists, exploring wide-ranging and interdisciplinary practices.
