Field Experience

Balaena Institute for Cetacean Conservation Studies, Crew member

  • Contributed to the data collection of northern bottlenose whales on the Scotian Shelf during the 2023 and 2024 field seasons. Duties included data processing, data entry and analysis, organizing and identifying photographs from fieldwork. Proficient in R Studio, Lightroom, and Flukebook.

Marine Animal Response Volunteer

  • Perform initial site visits to gather information on live or deceased animals. Participate in necropsies and help collect samples to determine cause of death.
