My full time working career was with Laidlaw Transit Ltd, when I started as a school bus driver in 1984.
In 1988 I was promoted to branch manager (Paris)
In 1993 I was promoted to regional manager, responsible for several locations.
In 2007 I was promoted to Safety Director, responsible for Driver Training, and Health and Safety in the Canadian regions.
In 2009 the company was purchased by First Student, and the
Canadian operations became part of the US operations.
My position was eliminated in 2009 and I received a severance package. I began working as a volunteer in 2011.
In 2013 my grand daughter was born. My son retained full time custody of her, and I have assisted in her care until this present time.
