Elevator Systems
- I designed an interactive user application that emulates the operations of an elevator system
- Java Language was used in this project
- I used multithreading and state design pattern in designing the system
- Improving and understanding how to build GUI for windows operating system was one thing I learnt
Autonomous Snow Clearing Robot
- I designed an autonomous four wheeled robot that aims at clearing snow from the driveway
- Python was used to implement the path-planning algorithm
- The robot operations were simulated in CoppeliaSim
- The robot was equipped with proximity sensors for object detection and avoidance as well as GPS to improve navigation
- How to capture sensor data in CoppeliaSim environment was one of the things learnt in this project
The Carleton Eye
- The Carleton eye is an aerial vehicle that captures video data and streams it to a stationary ground server
- I designed the link and communication subsystem that ensures that data is transmitted effectively, reliably, and securely
- And I also ensured this meets up with user requirements
- The communication was done via 2.4ghz wireless communication technology
Calculator
- I designed a calculator with JavaScript that has all the functionalities of a standard calculator
- It was built to be responsive and adjust to different screen sizes while still maintaining readability and useability
- One thing I gained is improving my knowledge on working in JavaScript and also how to work with state design pattern in JavaScript.
