Specific abilities I learned and made progress in each lab:

• Familiarize myself with why a reaction happens and detailed procedures before each lab session
• Collaborate and divide work with my lab mate
• Use common lab glassware and equipment professionally, and correctly dispose waste and clean up all glassware before left
• Observe and collect data while reaction is happening
• Search information using Google Scholar, SciFinder and PubChem and use data collected to write experiment report

Taking BIOL 206 (Method in Biology), I have learned which statistical test to use in front of different biological hypotheses and how to visualize and manipulate data using R. Also, I found my special interest in field research and Ecology after we had two field trips on Mont Royal and insectarium as organismal biologists. I really enjoy the process of collecting data and discovering a relationship or significant result using the real-world data.
