As an entry-level professional seeking employment, I am eager to bring a compassionate, customer-service approach to caring for others and contributing value to my employer. I am committed to respecting the workplace, being present, and giving my best every day. My hands-on experience and teamwork skills drive positive outcomes, reflecting my commitment to my position as a member of the team.
As a team member at Jersey Mike's Subs, my day started off early with slicing lettuce and onions and counting, prepping, and stocking cold meats as we prepped for the day. And during the day, I did things like sprinkle toppings on subs, handle hot meats on the grill, cash out customers, and do little things like restocking and sweeping during slow times.
As a shop hand, my days were spent inside a mechanic shop for diesel trucks. As a new hire, my main job was keeping the shop clean and organized. I was moving heavy objects, counting and rearranging inventory, and when needed, I would help out the mechanics the best I could. As the year went on though, I became more and more involved with the work on the trucks. Sticking by one mechanic, I started working more and more on them, going from tires to belly tarps, and still important but easier things like wiring. So by the end of my working here, I was all over the shop at any part of the day, helping on a truck or sweeping and cleaning up.
Working as a team member at McDonald’s, my days were pretty much consistently the same. I was usually taking orders and counting money at the window. I would stock bags and Happy Meal boxes for times of need. Occasionally, I would be able to go into the kitchen and make and prepare meals, but that wasn't until later in my career as a team member at McDonald’s, and it was that often.
