Urban Leadership Fellowship and Academy: Cities of Inequities Academy Member, 01/2021 to 06/2021

  • Project builds on the work of Let's Talk Food UofT, a coalition made up of New College and 88 Chestnut students and residence dons, and Equity Studies' Student Union executives, and intends to further interrogate institutional responsibility towards improving food security for post-secondary students across the GTA. This includes a localized analysis of the University of Toronto's food provisions policies, the possibility for future mandates, and the eventual building of sustainable, equitable, and accessible food infrastructure at the post-secondary level . Ultimately, the project will take the form of a "living" power map document, that visually maps out the contradictions, and obligations of post-secondary institutions in addressing food security gaps facing its diverse student populations
