Utilizes multimodality testing of the nervous system to rapidly detect neurological changes and to facilitate the surgeon's decision-making process.

• Responsible for the real-time neurophysiological monitoring of the nervous system during surgical procedures that put neural structures and function at risk
• The NT is responsible for setting the patient up for intraoperative testing and communicating data in real time to the interpreting neurologist and surgical team
• Provide day-to-day monitoring of surgical cases
• Implement clinical and operational policies and protocols
• Complete each case including required documentation and close out within 24 hours

• Maintain laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards; developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures; ensuring staff compliance; certifying instrument performance; arranging equipment replacement, service, and repair
• Maintain laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
