Equipment Operator

  • Worked as lead hand while manager was away. Instructed and watched over 9 employees at a time, during summer months, over-seeing storm infrastructure construction projects. Also, in winter months, over-seeing snow removal and winter maintenance.
  • Designed and fabricated mobile storage platform for coring drill, and necessary equipment. Worked with health and safety coordinator to develop and implement training program for said equipment, then trained and mentored fellow employees on the tools.
  • Tasked with the creation and reviewing of formal hazard assessments, standard operating guidelines for equipment and tasks relevant to the job.
  • Re-designed the companies street sign maintenance and replacement program. Designed and implemented forms and filing system for the maintenance program.
  • Joint health and safety committee member, and union representative. Assisted in the creation, and review of safety documents. Also conducted and helped in the safety inspections of town buildings.
