My name is Jay Yu. I graduated from Dongyang Technical College in Korea and have over 15 years of experience working at Eugene Industrial Co., Ltd., specializing in water treatment systems, pressure vessels, stainless steel (purge welding), carbon pipes, and structural components. I have extensive hands-on experience in TIG (GTAW), MIG, Stick (SMAW), and STT welding, with a primary focus on GTAW and FCAW processes. I’m also highly skilled in operating machinery such as drilling machines, rolling machines, and grinders.

Currently, I am working at a pipe welding company in Ontario, Canada, where I weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and duplex pipes using GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, and STT techniques. I hold CWB certifications in flat and horizontal positions, as well as a TSSA certification that aligns with ASME standards. I am fully capable of performing 6G pipe root pass welding tests, as well as welding in various other positions.

Although I spent many years working in Korea, I have quickly and effectively adapted to the Canadian work environment and continue to perform my job without any issues.
