• Accurately utilize critical thinking and the nursing process during clinical rotation while applying patient teaching principles across the lifespan.
• Assists the Registered Practical Nurse and/or Registered Nurse with resident/client admittances, transfers, and departures/deaths, including familiarization with staff, residents, surroundings, and personal care. Prepares a listing of personal clothing and other belongings upon arrival.
• Works collaboratively with resident and family/chosen family to create strategies for care delivery, etc.
• Observe and report on the resident/client's emotional and physical condition.
• Records observations and personal care provided to residents/clients on Point Click Care and/or other assigned documentation tools.
• Promotes the emotional well-being of residents/clients through discussion, comforting, etc. Monitors resident/client safety in accordance with the plan of care; implements precautionary measures as ordered by the health care provider.
• Report incidents to the Team Lead/RN/RPN/Nurse Manager, such as disruptive behavior, fire hazards, and security problems.
• Participates in organizing and implementing social and recreational programs for residents/clients.
• Participates in organizing regular and special events for residents/clients, such as birthday parties, picnics, and shopping trips.
