• Monitor and reporting of dams, spillways and other water streams.
• Manage support equipment including pumps and piping.
• Work 12-hour day and night shifts as scheduled.
• Complete timely and accurate daily records of plant and pumping performance.
• Conduct daily site inspection and record observations.
• Notify Superintendent of any issues relating to the water treatment process, pumps and pipelines.
• Maintain a high standard of house-keeping at all times.
• Engage in all forms of labour to assist in the successful operation of all water treatment processes.
• Assist site trades people and operations personnel as necessary.
• Participate in mine rescue training.
• Participate in first aid training.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Outline and implement all Waste water procedures and protocols, provide support and training to site staff.
• Assist with ordering of all parts and equipment for waste water units
Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations. Have a thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to diagnose and correct equipment malfunction. Have a basic knowledge of State and Federal rules governing wastewater discharges and worker's safety. Have the ability to work with independence and to make routine decisions on the operation of the plant processes and equipment during the Chief Operator's absence.
Member of AWWOA Club, Standard First Aid (CPR and AED Training) AB/BC, Norm, H2S Alive St John standard, CSTS, PST, TDG, WHIMS, Class 3 learners with Airbrakes Driver License.
