An innate curiosity of all things computers, coupled with extensive trial-and-error experience and scholastic studies has led me to learn how to repair computers and associated equipment, run diagnostics, maintain, install software, troubleshoot, set up networks and address security concerns.
Self-motivated, passionate, hardworking, patient, and positive with good interpersonal skills are adjectives that describe me. It is enjoyable to solve computer concerns and work with others in providing the best solutions in a timely manner. I take pleasure in solving difficult problems through creative problem solving, as well as restoring vintage computers, and other electronic devices to even better than their prior functioning by developing and implementing novel solutions.
The customer's smile when I return their fixed computer is my reward. I use a detailed, systematic approach towards solving problems in the most cost effective, practical and efficient manner. I continue to improve my education through collaboration in computer forums, courses, and certifications programs. My knowledge includes operating systems such as Microsoft Windows PC, Mac OSH, Linux, and Unix; software programs, Windows Office, Pro Tools; programming languages, C++, Java, HTML.
Thank you.
I collect vintage computers, mainly Apple, and trade/sell them to other collectors worldwide via online computer forums and in person. I enjoy discussing all things Apple and Macintosh with others who share common interests on computer forums, and yearly meet ups at vintage computer fairs in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. I even have standing offers to visit people across the United States to check out their collections.
I also enjoy recording, mixing and mastering music for the community and Mendocino College performances such as for the Jazz Band. I'm currently setting up a recording studio at my home. Additionally, my record collection continues to grow, especially music of the 1950s through 2000.
