I’m a driven and energetic individual, with a strong ability to interact with persons of diverse backgrounds. My expertise in working as a Personal Care Attendant on the Resident Home Areas in the Gardens and the Hospice, coupled with the communication skills I developed in my Social Service Worker course and Customer Service Specialist has definitely positioned me to excel in this role.
My goal is to provide a safe space and assess the community’s needs and development group programs to meet their needs. It’s my belief that all activities should be fun and exciting but always recognizing that safely is absolutely paramount. I’m certain that having persons engaged through therapeutic activities, this will promote independence and a healthy balance. Additionally, I would like to ensure wellness checks are made for individuals on a frequent basis to ensure that all clients are active, ensuring that their mental, physical and emotional well-being is in a good place. Please note that my years of experience as a Personal Support Work would make me the perfect candidate for this position and I am confident that my skills, experience and passion for helping others, will assist in being a great asset to the Second Mile Club Family.
