Work History

Albertsons

Food Clerk
23893
01.2023 - Current
  • I started working for Albertsons right after I graduated high school in December of 2022.
  • I started off as a courtesy clerk, bagging groceries and pushing carts, then got promoted to the Service Deli and Produce department.
  • I made friends with my coworkers, and that helped my work ethic and social skills.
  • I start at Albertsons from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. Then I go to my second job, Los Reyes, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and repeat.
  • I work 5 days at the grocery store and 4 days at the restaurant; sometimes I work both jobs on the same day, and other days it's one job or the other.
  • Once every other month, we will have a "coworker appreciation day" to celebrate our hard work and bring food for everyone.
  • In the service deli, I help customers by taking their orders at the counter or serving them our food from our deli cases.
  • On some days, I pack our ready meals to place on our shelves in the department when I am not working at the deli counter.
  • I unpack boxes from our recent loads to help stock shelves and make sure we aren't forgetting our orders from the warehouse.
  • In the produce department, I pack fruit bowls and vegetables to stock our shelves.
  • For both departments, I use the scan gun to keep track of our system called Vision Pro, so we can improve our sales, and make sure everything is in stock in the store.

  • This was my first job since I was 17 years old in high school.
  • I bought my first truck in my first year working at this job.
  • I started off as a hostess, then got promoted to being a server two years later.
  • I've built my relationships with all my coworkers and managers.
  • I am close to the owners, and that is what led me to get this job.
  • I work the night shifts and every weekend, including holidays.
  • I would train the new hires when they're placed in the same position as I am.
  • Some days throughout the week, I will work in the kitchen with the chefs to take out plates and make phone calls for to-go orders.
  • I would help my bussers clean tables so we can have a steady shift, especially if we're super busy.
  • My outgoing personality helped me make friends and get to know my regulars, so they can come into the restaurant more often and support the family business.
  • Once a year, we will have a party to appreciate everyone's help who participates in the business.
