Astronomy

Through my journey as an amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, I've cultivated a keen attention to detail, honed planning skills, and mastered time management, all while focusing on the realms of science and understanding. This includes delving into the intricacies of physics, grasping the mechanical operations of telescopes and optics, as well as comprehending the nuances of camera sensors. Additionally, I've developed a deep understanding of weather patterns and physical changes such as temperature, dew point, barometric shifts, and humidity. By integrating these experiences and knowledge, I consistently strive to capture stunning photographs of the universe.

Throughout my tenure as President of the Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society, I took on the primary responsibility of efficiently overseeing all aspects of the club's operations. This involved coordinating board meetings, where I effectively managed agendas, tasks, and items in collaboration with the board of directors. Additionally, I assumed control of financial decision-making processes and ensured strict adherence to the club's bylaws.

In my role as President, I placed significant emphasis on advancing our public outreach initiatives and meticulously organized events tailored to our members' interests, always in line with the club's overarching vision.

Furthermore, during my presidency, I successfully secured a 20-year tenure agreement with the Department of Forestry for the Sacramento Valley Henry-Grieb Observatory, situated at Blue Canyon's Nyack Airport in Placer County.
