In the agriculture industry we were always learning something which I always am up for. I am a fast learner and always up to learn and try new things. I am very organized and love anything to do with paperwork whether that be on the computer or hand written. I also love working with people and helping people.
Worked with customers and prospects to ensure they get the best products to raise for the growing years. Sold seed, fertilizer, anhydrous, and chemicals.
As the sales representative at Sand Ridge Seeds I was working a lot on one on one with prospects teaching them about current products that can be offered and trying to get them to buy to help their farms succeed. I also would walk out with customers if they had any concerns we would come up with ways to fix it this year or if it was to late in the season wait until the next growing season and look at it before the problem got worse to help avoid the situation. I also would deliver products to the customers as well as giving them suggestions on what to do to help see there crops produce for a good year. I was also in charge of taking care of billing as well as collecting money to be sent to the appropriate place so that there accounts were up to date.
As a farm hand I worked with many other farm hands and learned many tasks around the farm. I ran equipment to help with planting, harvesting, dirt work. I also went out in the summer looking at the growth stages and making sure everything was looking good and if we had problems I would help address them then make suggestions to help the problems we saw. I also was hands on working on equipment that need fixed or just maintenance before we would use them a lot.
At Heartland Coop I scale in and scale out farmers. As well as probe all trucks and grade the grain that comes in. I also answer telephone calls and answer any questions farmers may have. I keep a clean organized work space in the office. Some other things I do are finalizing sales, make contracts and many more tasks.
