With 11 years of experience as a Principal and Vice Principal, I consistently demonstrate strong leadership capabilities guided by the Leadership Standards for Principals and Vice-Principals in British Columbia. My proven strength lies in building cohesive teams within diverse employee groups. I take a strengths-based approach with staff and students, ensuring support and leadership opportunities for everyone. Dependable and detail-oriented, I am organized and thorough in all tasks. Skilled at navigating difficult conversations while maintaining positive relationships through my training as a Fierce Conversation facilitator. As an easy-to-work-with team player, I value professionalism and support my colleagues. With 12 years of experience as a Student Support/Resource/Learning Assistance Coordinator, I have extensive experience in creating Individual Education Plans, Learning Support Plans, and Positive Behaviour Support plans. I am proficient in completing Functional Behaviour Assessments for students with diverse needs and have received training for administering Level B Assessments. Collaborating with various stakeholders is second nature to me as I strive to provide comprehensive support for students with diverse needs. My strong knowledge of challenges faced by students with complex learning profiles allows me to implement effective interventions for success. Additionally, I have valuable insights into the recruitment process from working closely with Human Resources. Lastly, my understanding of Universal Design for Learning enables me to create inclusive educational environments for all students.
