Broadway subway project, integrated design-built joint venture, is a 5.7 km extension of Millenium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. 700 meters will be elevated, extending from VCC-Clark Station to a tunnel portal near Great Northern way. five kilometers will be tunneled below the broadway Corridor from Great Northern Way to Arbutus street with six underground stations. Catherine was responsible for managing the Traffic Control Supervisor, updating the Traffic Accommodation Schedule, and distributing to all stations along with Dispatching Traffic control People where needed. sh worked closely with Traffic manage and his team to coordinate implementation of Traffic Control Plans and ensuring they are done correctly. She also entered time sheets and submitting them along with doing tail gates, submitting TMP's used, making sure FLRA's are done and submitted to Safety Department. Deficiency tracking and resolution, approved drawing preparation, corrective actions, inspection, equipment and attended coordination meeting with the roadworks and structure teams. Submitted Traffic Advisory Forms to province on occasion when Traffic Manager was not available.
Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, Highway 401 Expansion from the Credit river to regional road 24, in a fully integrated design-build joint venture, is the widening approximately 18 km of Highway 401 from 6 lanes to 10 to 12 lanes to facilitate high-occupancy vehicle median lanes. The expansion is from the Credit river in Mississauga to regional Road 25 in Milton, Ontario. Catherine was responsible for confirming traffic control needs and anticipated requirements, obtaining and verifying the appropriate Construction Documents, notifying the CA and the Project Co Communication Director of upcoming or ongoing traffic management work, having full line authority over all traffic control personnel, activating the Emergency Traffic Plan and Incident Notification process if needed, reviewing daily inspection logs and performing regular work Zone traffic control audits. she was responsible for responding to construction phase NCRs related to traffic management , implementing corrective and preventive actions and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the traffic control plans. She implemented and manged the Traffic Management plans by following and documenting the detailed processes outline in TQMP. she made sure that CA is kept informed of all upcoming traffic activities and revisions to TMP by participating in the Traffic Technical meetings and ensure TDN process was followed prior to any traffic disruptions along with organizing Traffic Working Groups and Coordinate meeting minutes production to keep Municipal Stakeholders up to date.
Regina Bypass Project, was the design-built joint venture and is and equity participant in the consortium that financed Saskatchewan's largest public-private partnership transportation project. The consortium designed and built the bypass, which includes 61 km of highway including 40 km of new four-lane highway and improvements to existing highway infrastructure. The construction work is substantially complete, and the Regina Bypass is fully operational. The consortium is providing operations and maintenance until year 2049, in partnership with the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure. Completed on schedule and within budget, the bypass will improve motorists' safety, reduce traffic congestion in and around Regina, and reduce carbon emissions and fuel consumption. Catherine was responsible for project coordination between the contractor, subcontractors, major stakeholders, public transit, and governing officials. Responsible for managing and organizing construction-phase implementation with respect to traffic-related design, subcontractor coordination, and traffic control setup. Coordinated and manged on-site traffic control personnel, traffic control request forms, red-line drawings, crew resources scheduling, rental of equipment accruals, deficiency tracking and resolution, approved drawing preparation, corrective actions, inspections, equipment inventories, tailgate and safety meeting minutes, road safety auditor coordination, and site query submittals to the engineer of record. This $1.43 billion design-build project consisted of 11km of light rail transit guideway, six passenger stations roadworks, utilities, traction power substations, road reconstruction design, and bridge and retaining wall design. the line's alignment included elevated and at-grade guideways and a 2 km bored tunnel. The location of the project was in a dense urban area with high traffic volumes that had to be accommodated during construction operations. This $750 million, 40km long, four-lane South Fraser Perimeter road runs along the south side of the Fraser River. The SFPR was designed to improve the movement of people and goods through the region, providing better access to major trade gateways and reducing east-west travel times. It extends from Deltaport Way in southwest Delta to 176th Street (Highway 15) in Surrey, with connections to Highways 1, 91 and 99 and the Golden Ears Bridge. Highway traffic management involved construction of intersections, interchanges, and overpasses. It provided and automated rail-based rapid transit service connecting downtown Vancouver with central Richmond and the Vancouver International Airport, linking growing residential, business, healthcare, educational, and other centers in the region and adding transit capacity equivalent to 10 major road lanes. the Canada Line connects with existing rapid transit lines at Waterfront Station and major east-west transit services, creating an enhanced transit network to serve the region.
