Hi, my name is Carter Manik and I am an Inuk from Arviat, Nunavut. I am currently enrolled at Red River College Polytechnic in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have variety of different experiences in work and I am very interested in the career of skilled trades. I was introduced to the trades field at a very young age and eventually fell in love with it. One of the skills I am personally good at is the ability to work well in a team environment. I have worked in teams a lot in my past experiences and I am also great with communication with others.

- I started off transporting cargo from the planes to the hangar and setting up the equipment so the passengers can safely get off the plane
- Then after a few months I applied for the Counter clerk position and I got offered the position
- The role the counter clerk has is to understand and operate Windows and a lot of computer software and use it towards work purposes and making consignments to send out packages customers and companies want to send out and receive from other communities
- Assisted customers by providing information about product availability and pricing.

- I found this job very rewarding and helped me teach and learn Inuit cultural values
