Coming into Harding, I had zero experience with developing, testing, or debugging code. During my two-plus years here, I have not only learned how to do those things, but also how to think logically about complex problems. I have been exposed to a variety of languages, course types, and instructors, all of whom I have enjoyed learning from. With this, though, comes the understanding that there are countless things that I have yet to learn. I hope that through an internship, I can further my knowledge of computer science and witness the powerful impact it can have in the real world while also developing my professional and interpersonal skills.
- Three books included (Code Complete, Mythical Man Month, and The Phoenix Project)
- Notes on real-world applications of computer science
- Guest lectures and corresponding areas that I need to study further
