In my supportive Neighbor role it is imperative for me to foster a sense of community, offering assistance in day to day tasks where required. I encourage independence as much as possible, while providing guidance where required. Companionship is a kew component of this role which involves being approachable, proactive, and responsive to the needs of each individual thus creating a caring and connected environment. I assist in all medical appointments, to provide support and deeper explanations where needed, medication administration, budgeting and dietary requirements . I am also a part of ensuring connection within the community, assistance finding employment when desired, and overall mental health wellness.
