Carmindy Young

I have led a team of 4 fellow high school students to achieve the goal of fundraising for the animal shelter.

I have jointly led various charity events for our church: managing donation collection, organizing the space for Senior's events and overseeing the details of various bakesales.

• Caring for young children ages 2 & up. In this job I have gained experience in preparing healthy snacks, organizing age appropriate activities such as games, arts & crafts etc.
• Caring for Family & Friends Pets: Feeding, administering medications, grooming, walking and cleaning. I also have my own animals including chickens, 2 dogs, a bearded dragon, a bunny and birds. This has taught me responsibility, time management and caring for others.

• I have had experience in the summer mowing lawns for family & friends.

• I have supported various community events hosted by the United Church in Middleville, ON. These include the annual Pancake Breakfast, Donation Drives, Senior Night, Christmas Boxes for Children in need, among other events.
• Currently, I volunteer for the Breakfast & Lunch Program "Food for Thought" at my high school SFDCI.
• Student Council: Grade 9 Mentor Program, School Spirit Days, Assemblies, fundraising and being a voice for students & taking concerns to administration.
• Township Cleanup every Spring for 3 consecutive years.
