• Provides mental, emotional, and social support to patients and families in a professional manner.
• They educate caregivers on the patient’s conditions, medications, and how to cope during difficult times.

• Provides nursing care and supportive services in accordance with the physician/provider treatment plan
• Educates family members on the condition of the patient, on medications, show how to provide comfort from pain, and offer that support that is crucial to helping them cope with a difficult situation
