Summary

My objective is to be a part of the important work of raising the continued spirit, strength and resiliency of Indigenous Women.

Attended two years At Grant MacEwan Community College, for the Rehabilitation Program. I have had the opportunity and enjoyed twenty years experience working in various aspects providing support with much emphasis on the well being of the individuals/ client being served.

Work well independently, take initiative, responsible, and motivated to be professional in my employment. Demonstrated the abilities to work and communicate effectively with people.

Developed a reputation for commendable work ethics and a valued team member. Demonstrating leadership and Contribute as an active team member on the Shared Leadership Team. Continue to demonstrate and commit to my employer through continued years of service.

Work History

Adjudicator/ Case Manager

  • Current: the past 7 years working on the Special Needs Team, specializing in Brain Injuries, Psychological and Burns and currently working in Hearing Loss claims.
  • Apply and interpret Legislation, Policy and Procedures to claimant’s files.
  • Determine entitlement of claims by collecting, reviewing and analyzing relevant information.
  • Advise both employers and workers of entitlement decisions.
  • Set compensation rates and issue temporary total disability payments.
  • Utilize appropriate resources within WCB (Medical Consultants) and Community (Hospitals/Doctors).
  • Provide high quality service to both employers and injured workers.
  • Effectively manage a caseload of 40 – 70 claims (on Physical Industry teams).
  • Coaching/Mentoring “new hire” Adjudicators (on Claims Resolution Team (CRT) for 4 years.
  • Ensuring month end reports completed, Statistics for Adjudication Duration reports, and letter audit reporting completed in a timely manner.
  • Project work: Psychological Injuries/Provided Validation to update Psych procedures.
