Carly Barsness

I am a good student and dedicated part-time employee who values exceptional customer service and organizational skills. I excel in roles requiring patience, empathy, and effective communication. Through my various employment experiences I have acquired skills in team cooperation and time management, and have maintained a solid academic record while working part-time and being very active in my school community.

I have been very involved with my school in terms of clubs and student government since 9th Grade. I have enjoyed participating in Students' Council at every grade level, and ultimately campaigned and earned the position as school co-president to lead the study body in my graduation year. I have volunteered with Karma closet as well every year, contributed significantly to the student yearbook committee, and have lead the International students group each year. Since I enjoy cooking, I took advantage of Cooking Brigades over the last 4 years and have enjoyed this activity, and continue to sew at home which has been a great skill that I acquired over several years of formal classes as a young girl. Although I do not participate in a team sport, I belong to the YMCA and enjoy strength training and cardio exercises. I often visit a local nursing home where I play crib or take residents for walks. There is one resident, in particular, who I visit and spend quality time with.
