I grew up in the Yukon and worked as a framer with my dad for many years. When I turned 18 I went to work in the oilfield and worked the winters in Alberta and then spent the summer/fall working for my dad until I got to busy with oilfield and started working full time in the industry. I have 25 year of experience in the oilfield industry from labour work on most crew on the pipeline, operating heavy equipment such as dozer/rock truck and very little time in an excavator, field engineering, shooting road/hotline crossing, some creeks, shooting field bend, measuring pipe, supervising crews such as Coating, Utility, Hydrovac, Hotline digs, Cleanup crews. I also have a few years of experience in the road building industry as well operating heavy equipment and supervising crews for my uncles in central Alberta. I am currently employed by OJ pipeline as a straw on a clean up crew.

- I was the Hydrovac foreman looking after all the hotline/utility exposures and assisting the HDDs as well. Then in my off season I usually work for my brother as a carpenter/framer or running heavy equipment for my uncles until the next pipeline job calls me back to work.

- While I was with Shippy construction I was operating a 300D rock truck and a D6T dozer building county roads and farm sites. While I was with OJ pipeline I was labouring for a Kenny Glover that I have worked with before. I was on his clean up crew for 4 months and then went as a straw boss for Austin Remmen working on a steep slope/Fraser Cliffs for 7 weeks.

- Was with Banister Pipeline on Spread 6 of the TMEP for 8 months looking after Hydrovac trucks doing all the old TMP line exposures and open cut buried utility crossings. I had a teamster, straw and 3 labourers. We had 2 tracked Hydrovac units and between 2 - 6 trucks as well as a few straight vac units off and on.

- Was with Waschuk again for 10 months as the Hydrovac foreman. I had 2 - 7 Hydrovac trucks at times, 1 - 3 water trucks, 1 teamster driver in a 1 ton pickup, 1 straw and 3 labourers for about 8 1/2 months. I was looking after some equipment and tracked Hydrovac units for 1 1/2 months digging indications after the final test was done. Then I was back in the summer/fall as a straw on one of the cleanup crews for a couple months.

- Worked for this company on the APPL Line for 9 months with Wayne Jensen. I was the measure man for the first month until they needed another engineer. Then I worked as a crossing engineer for the remainder of the project. I worked for them again in the summer of 2019 as a straw on one of the cleanup crews for a few more months.

- Worked with this company again in the spring of 2018 as a straw on stringing and then strawing on a tie-in crew until we completed the project in May. This project was a quad line consisting of 3, 6" lines and a 2" all in the same ditch.

- Started at Waschuk working with main gang welding as a band setter for the automatic welding units and did that for the first job then went on with a fab crew for a few weeks to finish off the project. Then they asked me to go on the engineering crew on the next project so I did. I started off as Ron Gazman's help and soon got my own truck and equipment from them to start doing more on my own and ended up looking after shooting in all the track bores and slip bores for the rest of that job then on the next couple projects I was bumped up to a crossing engineer and was able to do my own thing shooting all road crossings and most of the line crossing as well as shooting a few creeks with Wayne Jensen and Delroy Jensen. If I had any extra time on my hands I was either helping Ron Gazman on the difficult fabrication or with the measuring crew giving them a hand.
