Accomplishments

    TECHNICAL PROJECTS/ ACHIEVEMENTS

Heap Leach and Battery Recycling, Kemetco, Richmond, Canada January, 2022 – December, 2022

  • Part of a team that analyzed different reagents for oxidation of ore from Chesapeake gold mine for best gold recovery as well as assisted metallurgists in carrying out bench scale and pilot scale battery recycling tests (Nickel, Cobalt and Manganese recovery from battery waste).

  • Reducing Knelson Downtimes, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana September, 2020

  • Was part of the team that implemented the idea of putting a filter on the process water line to the Knelson concentrators to address the problem of frequent downtimes resulting from clogging of fluidizing holes and consequently increased utilization by about 2%

  • Gravity Circuit Feed Analysis, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana March,2020 – June, 2020

  • Carried out GRG test on cyclone feed and cyclone underflow which clarified that cyclone underflow doesn’t improve GRG recovery significantly with respect to cyclone feed to the Knelson concentrator to necessitate the proposed reengineering and the costs that come with it.

  • Commissioning of Acacia Plant, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana October, 2019

  • Was part of the team that saw to the successful commissioning of the Consep Acacia intensive cyanide leaching plant that resulted in an increase in overall gravity gold of up to 20% and I played an integral role in reagent calculations and overcoming challenges with some recurring alarm shutdowns.

  • Lead Nitrate Dosing point, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana August, 2018

  • Determined the best dosing point for lead nitrate solution to improve gold recovery and reduce cyanide consumption.

  • Specific Gravity Determination, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana January, 2017 – February, 2017

  • Determined the specific gravity of ore being treated which informed the company of a change from 2.7 to 2.8 and hence rectified challenges in plant optimization and metallurgical accounting reconciliation.

  • Bond Work Index, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana October, 2016 – November, 2016

  • Determined the bond work index of surface and underground ores to determine the energy efficiency in comminution and showed the need to improve it.

  • Audit on Crushing Plant Spillages, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana January, 2016 – April, 2016

  • Audited the crushing plant which helped to determine the economic implications of spillages and provided mitigation methods.

  • Thickener Optimization, GSWL, Akyempim, Ghana October, 2015 – November 2015
