Summary

As a current Indigenous Cultural Liaison of the RainCity Housing / Fraser Health Intensive Case Management Team, I have gained a deeper understanding of the required skillset needed for assisting individuals who are suffering from homelessness, drug addiction, and mental illness. This line of work requires passion and commitment, as well as a constant drive in seeking new ways to improve overall interpersonal and professional management skills to better connect and build relationships with those who rely on the support provided by a team such as this. The values and goals that Case Managers are striving to achieve are shared among the many partnered organizations working tirelessly alongside us to make a difference. As this team is formed with trusted, hard working, knowledgeable and compassionate Case Workers, it will continue to equip this community with the necessary support needed to continue making a positive change.
