In charge of safety, hourly manpower, scheduling trades, construction sequence, efficiency, and execution. Additionally I was required to complete miscellaneous carpentry tasks.

Sarcee Meadows Housing Corporation ($50M)

I was named the general superintendent on this project, the schedule, abatement, and construction sequence plans I developed were key in becoming the successful proponent for the project. This will be one of the largest envelope restoration projects in Canada.

GFLS +55 Society Roof/Exterior Envelope Replacement ($.75M)

Removal of failing roofing system and exterior cladding. All new windows/doors, new AVB and exterior Hardie board package. Occupied during construction with specialty egress requirements for senior citizens.

High profile client personal home renovations ($5.7M) Calgary, AB

Interior/exterior extremely high-end finishes. NDA contract work. Occupied during construction.

Stanton Legacy ($50M) Yellowknife, NWT
Full interior demolition with localized exterior envelope tie in, plus new free standing emergency exit stair core (concrete). Transformation of the old Stanton Territorial Hospital into a long-term care facility. Specialty Infection Prevention and Control requirements. Extensive new mechanical and electrical distribution/finishes. Complete interior renovation. Not occupied during construction but adjacent to the new active hospital.

District at the Beltline ($17.2M) Calgary, AB

Glazing/storefront replacements, rooftop signage, envelope tie-ins, complete restoration of the courtyard/plaza, new market shed structure/Envelope on suspended slab. Converted office space into a full-service food hall. Specialty artist work on exterior building composite fins. Occupied during construction/Active underground parking lot.

Husky Sunrise Interior Fit Out (4.5M) Calgary, AB

Renovation of 200 executive camp suites, upgrades to common areas and food hall. Project consisted of demolishing interior finishes, bringing mechanical/electrical up to current codes, upgrading fire separations, and all new interior finishes/fixtures. Occupied during construction.

E-Block Renovation ($15.5M) Calgary, AB

Removed pre-cast curtain wall from exterior of building, completed interior demolition, demolished mechanical penthouse/roofing/parapets to double the penthouse size and allow for all new mechanical/electrical infrastructure. E-Block was converted from a classroom/meeting room/common area building to a high-end, lab/research facility for the UofC. Not occupied during construction.

West 17 Lofts Exterior Renovation ($9M) Calgary, AB

7 Buildings standing Four-story's tall, 44-unit wood frame structure/envelope/window and door replacement. Building exterior consisted of a brick/stucco façade. There were several localized areas with specialty tie-ins, main structural beam reinforcement, and new concrete footings placed. Occupied during construction.

East Village Place Renovations ($10.5M) Calgary, AB

16-storey building with failing stucco envelope and localized brick facade. Scope of work included removing, restoring, and recladding the building with a new exterior 6” EFIS system. Several localized and specialty tie-ins for the existing building and the new exterior cladding. Also included in this project was a complete replacement of parapets and roof assembly, and lightning rods. Occupied during construction.

Mechanical Engineering Building ($12.5M) Calgary, AB

Complete multi-tiered roof system replacement, parapet tie-ins, localized envelope replacements. Full demolition of interior and complete transformation/usage of space. New high voltage room and switch gear. Converted from office spaces into testing labs and oil research facilities. Not occupied during construction.

Chevron Building Re-stack/Renovation ($28.1M) Calgary, AB

Completed flatworks plaza repairs. The scope of work also included repairing envelope issues, glazing replacement, new storefront/modular wall installation. Interiors was a complete demolition plus new layout to accommodate more offices/meeting spaces, and barrier free requirements on all 24 floors. Specialty executive floor with specialty finishes and. Occupied during construction.

Wolfgang Puck Restaurant YYC ($2.1M) Calgary, AB

Shelled space within the Calgary airport. Project consisted of mechanical and electrical tie ins to base building infrastructure and complete interior fit out of restaurant, beer tap, and lounge area. Not occupied during construction.

EEEL 5th CERC Labs & Office Fit Outs ($2.5M) Calgary, AB

Complete interior renovation of existing storage area, converted into labs/meeting rooms/office space. New mechanical and electrical distribution from base building tie in points. Occupied during construction.

EAP GYM Build ($4.4M) Calgary, AB

Two floors of interior shelled space turned into a fully functioning gym space. Space included structural modifications to install new interconnecting concrete staircase, all new mechanical and electrical distribution. Fit out as per design with steam rooms and many amenities throughout. Occupied during construction.

Trans Alta Stair Replacement ($1.2M) Calgary, AB

Removal of existing pre-cast stairs above suspended concrete slab, localized envelope tie ins, and new pre-cast stairs/handrails installed. Occupied during construction.

McDonald's Restaurant Renovations ($3.2M) Calgary, AB

Several locations upgrading kitchens, equipment, seating areas, and exterior envelope repairs. McCafé launch. Occupied during construction.

TELUS Sky Tenant improvement, Preconstruction/project Award Team ($7M) Calgary, AB

Responsible for the site logistics that were a key component for the award of the project. This project had platinum LEED requirements, while I was not a part of the actual construction the initial setup and requirements that needed to be presented/approved were extremely challenging.

U of C Bitumen Lab Relocation ($2.5M) Calgary, AB

The decant and relocation of a fully operational bitumen lab from the Engineering E building over to the earth sciences building. Several bitumen instruments and lab equipment reconfigured/recalibrated to suite students/professors while the E-Block building was under construction. Occupied during construction.

Livingston Place ($220M) Calgary, AB

Concrete new build with twin towers, 21 floors each tower, in downtown Calgary. My role as a Lead Hand Carpenter on this project was to layout slab forms, beam pockets, organize manpower, crane time, and maintain bi-weekly concrete slab pours. Additionally, I was a part of all the specialty formwork for the lower Parking levels. Aluma systems/fly forms/free forming were used on this project.

Union Square ($80M) Calgary, AB

New build, 27 floors of concrete suspended slab, elevator, and stair cores. I was the concrete core Lead Hand on this project. My role was to work collaboratively with the concrete foreman/EFCO engineered drawings to build the core and column forms to be used in a repetitively throughout the typical floor type. I also assisted in orchestrating manpower to plumb and raise the elevator and stair cores. Peri forms and sky deck systems were used here.

Devonian Gardens ($40M) Calgary, AB

Complete renovation of the occupied downtown mall in Calgary. Roof replacement, structural modifications, Canada's largest skylight install complete with a whale bone structure. My role as a carpenter Lead Hand was to organize and execute portions of the day-to-day rough carpentry and concrete work.

Jamieson Place ($300M) Calgary, AB

New build, 38 floors of concrete suspended slab, elevator, and stair cores. As the concrete core Lead Hand on this project, my role was to use EFCO engineered drawings to build the core and column forms to be used in a repetitive manner. I would also work with the concrete foreman to orchestrate manpower to plumb/raise the elevator and stair cores. EFCO hydraulic self-climbing system was used for the core.

Kearl Lake Oilsands ($250M) Calgary, AB

Concrete and superstructure of maintenance shops for the world's biggest trucks. As a carpenter foreman, my role was to ensure the hourly manpower was organized/executing as safely and productively as possible (industrial site safety). All concrete and day to day rough carpentry was organized through several sub-foremen and me.

Calgary International Airport ($620M) Calgary, AB

This was a massive addition to the airport. My role as a carpenter on this project was specialty formwork for the superstructure above. Piers and International side.
